Radical changes in the information technologies in the 2nd half of the 20th century marked the formation of a new type of social reality – the information society. “Revolution of scientific knowledge” was a result of this process and had an impact on traditional education system. In the strategic development of society, the education system has acquired the status of crucial and leading factor.
Modern teaching methods don`t pay too much attention to teaching specific knowledge (because now they often become irrelevant in 3-5 years) but concentrate on gaining the ability to learn constantly («lifelong learning»). This marks conversion from” subjects “and” disciplines ” to a coherent educational project.
