A seminar on Big Data was conducted in Sigma Institute of Engineering for students of BE Computer and BE IT programs. Big data is a term used to refer to the study and applications of data sets that are so big and complex that traditional data-processing application software are inadequate to deal with them.
Dr. Sameer Rohadia, a data scientist from Hannover Germany conducted the session. He explained how to find actionable knowledge from huge datasets and help to make business decisions. Almost 200 students attended the session.
